STEPPING FORWARD: Men Teaching and Learning about HIV/AIDS

Certain populations of men, such as truck drivers and soldiers, are among those more vulnerable to infection. These men are learning that unprotected sex leads to the spread of HIV/AIDS. As a result of intensive education programs in Ethiopia, individuals from within these groups now practice safer sex and are able to teach others about prevention. This film documents outreach efforts by and for men of all ages, from all walks of life.

Subject: Men Take Action and Responsibility
So thankful for Dorothy highlighting not just the issue of women and HIV/AIDS in Ethiopian, but focusing on the men. I had not considered that certain populations of men are more vulnerable. And they present more of a challenge to instigate behavior changes. Since educating these groups, the number of new infections has decreased. What a story of success!
